Ta-form is past tense form of plain (casual) form, ends in “ta”.

Let’s memorize past tense of basic 12 verbs! (except: nomu & asobu à~da)

iku -> itta okiru -> okita miru->mita
kuru -> kita neru -> neta kiku -> kiita
kaeru -> kaetta taberu -> tabeta asobu -> asonda
benkyoo suru -> shita nomu -> nonda kau -> katta

A: sumisu-san moo kaetta? /Did Mr. Smith go home yet?

B: un, moo kaetta. /Yup, already.

B: 10ji. /At 10.
