Minasan Konbanwa!

I have my presentation in front of many people tomorrow, so I feel “doki-doki”
Well, let me explain about “excitement” expressions this time.

1. doki-doki suru: expression of excitement, increased heartbeat due to nervousness, get butterflies in one’s stomach
e.g. ホラー映画をみて、どきどきする。。
Horaa eiga o mite, doki-doki suru..
My heart beats fast by watching horror movie.

2. waku-waku suru: excited feeling of pleasant expectation
e.g. 明日は遠足なので、わくわくする。
Ashita wa ensoku nanode, waku-waku suru.
I’m so excited because we have an excursion tomorrow.

3. hara-hara suru: nervous feeling due to seeing others in dangerous situation.
e.g. 車の多い道路で遊んでいる子供を見ると、はらはらする。
Kuruma no ooi dooro de asonde iru kodomo o miru to, hara-hara suru.
I feel nervous when I see children who’re playing at trafficky roads.

Have you had “waku-waku” recently?
Dewa, mata ne. (See you!)
